The colourful city of Barcelona

by Rupanworld - last update: Oct 15, 2008

With a street entertainer at the Ramblas
My most favourite travel destination is Barcelona. I was there as usual for a short time but I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Like all my usual tours, I was on a solo trip this time as well and made the most use of it. I wandered about the city from early morning starting a little later than sunrise till late evening. I was fortunate to have booked my bed in a very good hostel which was, in itself a place worth seeing for tourists.
The only bad memory from the trip was the chilly cold weather on way to Barcelona from Aix-en-Provence, France by Eurolines bus. The bus was really comfortable but somehow it was letting in cold wind and I was very very cold and could hardly sleep during the overnight journey. But the moment I stepped in the beautiful city, it seemed so welcoming. I have never before felt so good in any city from the very first moment. The feeling continued till the end of my journey. And i can proudly say that I had my best trip ever. I came back home with very good memories and a little more than 700 pictures and 20 videos.
I have added lots of tips to my page and I wish my tips help future travellers during their trip to the city. I am grateful to the members of Virtual tourist who with their nice authentic tips made my dream journey to Barcelona possible. With a detailed study of the best tips here I had a nice plan for my own trip to the city chalked up and although I had very less time to spend in this magical city, I could make the maximum use of my time here. Thanks VTers and thanks to VT.
