"The new and beautiful country" Slovakia by Rupanworld

Slovakia is a very small country in eastern Europe that formed part of the erstwhile Czechoslovakia. Now, this counrty has been divided into two counrties, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The capital of the former is Prague (Praha) and that of the latter is Bratislava. Slovakia shares its border with the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Ukraine and Hungary.

My Slovakian experience was very short. I was in Bratislava for 3 days and that sums up my experience in the country. I loved Bratislava and would love to go there again. While going to Prague from Bratislava, I took the Slovak lines bus and had the opportunity of travelling over a larger part of the country in bus and I seemed to like that also.

A regular street scene

I would sum up my Slovakian experience as being very good, met with very nice people, stayed in a very good youth hostel. Food and drinks is really cheap in Bratislava (atleast it was so when I was there) and in this town, there is just so many things to see. the only problem was with language. The influence of English seems to be very less here.
