| | Stockholm has a large cultural life and has plenty of national cultural institutions and numerous museums. There are two UNESCO World Heritage sites in the city, unfortunately none of which I have seen, the Royal Palace Drottningholm (residential palace of the Swedish King) and the Skogskyrkogården (The Woodland Cemetery). In 1998, Stockholm was named as the European City of Culture. I had a very nice time in Stockholm, my stay at the red Boat hostel made the trip more attractive. It was a unique experience. |
| With the Royal Palace guards |
| | Like most of my trips, I had made a solo trip to Stockholm and enjoyed every bit of it. I ensured that I walked a lot to see the most of the city and met many people from many parts of the world. Especially I met a middle aged mexican guy from the USA travelling there alone and very confused as to what to see. Had a nice time moving around with the simpleton and got to know also a lot about his country. In my tips, I have tried to present the best picture of the city so far as possible and give the correct information to my readers. |
