Last summer (1999), I spent 3 weeks in Zimbabwe.
We went to the Eastern Highlands where we started a trekking in the Chimanimani National Park.

We observed the wildlife in the National Parks of Matobo and Hwange.

The best way to get a fantastic view of <a href='http:\\www.virtualtourist.com\b_caro\Zambia' target='_none'> <b>"Mosi-oa-Tunya" (Smoke that thunders) </b></a> is from the air, during a helicopter trip above the Victoria Falls and the surrounding areas.

Furthermore we visited Harare and Bulawayo. In Bulawayo we took the nighttrain to Vic falls (it is a must when you are in Zimbabwe)

In Rusape, we walked from village to village with our local guide and visited people at home, the local school, the infirmary, some agricultural projects.

Our holidays ended with a 2-days cruise on a house-boat on Lake Kariba where we enjoyed the beautiful sunset and where we observed Hippo's and Croc's from near by.
