Luxor Hotel Tips by easyrw1uk

Got to the hotel at 5pm on Wednesday local temp. 35 deg C but our room was nice and cool and our bags were transfered from the coach for us.
From other reviews on this hotel you will know the rooms are set in bunglows of 10 rooms per bunglow, there is a nice seating area outside and the gardens are a delight.
The staff are the best don't belive anyone who say's they are misirable, just say please and thank you to them in Arabic and they can't do enough for you.
The next day we got a taxi into Luxor and here started a holiday to remember for ever our taxi driver Mohamad was the best, when asked if he knew a local guide who would be prepared to help us he was only too helpfull. So on the Friday morning at 5am we are in Mohamad's taxi with Hossam our guide (who spoke perfect english).
Over thr following 4 days we saw all the sights and because of the early starts we missed all the crowds and we back in the cool of our room when most of the other guests will still having breakfast.
The food at the hotel is good, the buffet is possibly not as good as it should be but if you are on half board and eat at the al-a-carte then will knock the difference of cost off the bill.
The snacks are great though not Egyptian.
Just to finish this hotel is a gem don't be put off because it is out of town because you will find the peace and tranquility to die for and with a free shuttle bus and boat getting into town is easy, if you take a taxi again easy they will call you one from the rank outside.
