Manhattan Beach is a picturesque Southern Californian town located about ten minutes South of LAX.
Here the sun always shine, the ocean breeze always keeps you cool and the surf is always up :)
A very wealthy town, Manhattan Beach has many multi-million dollar houses and is home to a many of LA's rich and famous. Derek Lowe & Nomar Garciaparra (LA Dodgers), Lamar Odom & Luke Walton (LA Lakers), Tara Reid to name a few have all made MB their home.
On the Northern side, called El Porto, you will find surfers riding the waves every morning. The area surrounding the municipal Pier (pictured) is dotted with fine restaurants, bars and boutique specialty shops.
With its laid-back character, it is also a very safe and pleasant town of which I consider myself very lucky to be one of its residents. |
