If you happen to visit LA in July, dont miss U.S. Open of Surfing, an events that takes a place in Huntington Beach in July of each year.

Hundreds of internationally acclaimed surfers participate in competition next to the famous "Surf City" pier. Several hundred thousand fans make their way to the "Surf City" pier to watch the event annually making it professional surfing's most attended event.

It's just so much fun. The vibe is so cool. There's so many people just come to hang out and enjoy the summer.

As I have mentioned before... you much much better of while renting care when visiting LA. If you decided to do so, take a day trip to Long Beach... about 35-40 mins drive south of West LA. Long Beach is a lovely town on the sandy beach which has combination of both... a city and a resor feel. There you can rent a kayak, motor or sail boat for the day and take wonderful jorney along numerious canals, bay and the ocean. It is fantastic view and along those canals you will see magical looking charming homes and gorgeous landscapes. People riding row, motor or sail boats and kayaks. Lots of fun under the sun. Just check a map and one of freeways (depends on where you are coming from) will easily gets you there. When arrive to Long Beach, the drive along the water is Ocean Blvd. Ask anybody on the street or gas station where is Alamitos bay.. and people will be happy to give you directions.
