On our recent 3rd visit to Phuket we stayed at the Patong Resort, having previously stayed at more expensive resorts generally marketed to Aussie tourists. Not expecting too much from the Patong Resort, because of the great price we got, and from some other less than favourable reviews on VT, I can only say how pleasantly surprised and impressed we were with the service and facilities of this property.
We had a Deluxe room upgrade with a spacious room on the first floor overlooking the pool. The 2 pool areas (both our wing and the main wing) were very clean and well maintained. Drinks and food around the pool were well priced and the pool staff were friendly and helpful.
The buffet breakfast daily was more than adequate, although not overly extravagant.
We found the hotel staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant overall, and in fact, could not fault them or the resort in any way.
I would definitely stay at this resort again. The value for money, location, facilities and service overall were excellent.
Unique Qualities: Very convenient location - only about 25 metres staggering distance from some great eateries and the bars on Bangla Road!
