My cutie pie he is no longer there however this photo of his will always make me feel he is just there looking straight at me,sitting on the veranda in darjeeling,basking in the sun.Anytime i look at this picture,it makes me smile.

This year is coming to an end and I did manage to visit two new states in India.
The first travel was in the month of march to Himachal where i travelled from Kinnaur district to lahul and Spiti in the north.This years travels were more of a short trek kinds.The short treks to Kalpa nas Sangla lake were very enjoyable and the bus trip to Spiti was a memorable one.
The second trip was to Uttaranchal/uttarakhand.We visited the valley of flowers national park,and trekked to Hemkund sahib.We visited Badrinath Shrine one of the holiest in India and trekked to Vasudhara falls.This you can find in State of uttar pradesh as Uttarakhand state does not feature in VT.
Visited Sikkim in October ,visited Changu lake , nathula pass and rumtech monastry.
Went for a day visit to Haridwar,a bike ride to Sohna hot water springs,and finally in dec a day trip to Agra and fatehpur sikri.

How to welcome 2009?

In the month of january will be visiting Varanashi for three days,kind of weekend break.
April looks quite good either a trip to the State of Jammu and Kashmir or to Nepal not sure which one.
Both the option is out so now i am planning for Gochela trek in April...
rest will depend on how many leaves will I have to travel ha ha....just keeping my fingers crossed..........

I was trying to take a picture of these little Lamas however as soon as i lift up the camera they would run.......however at this place where i am standing there is a small stupa kind of structure where people throw coins and get their wishes fulfilled....so while i was trying my luck i got alot of audience.....that is how i cought the little guys on camera........ha ha fooled them.....

This years travel,completed Varanasi,mussorie and chakrata.
