| | Just a few things.... I am constantly searching for ways to fill my life with meaning.
Even if you only leave your country once in your lifetime, I guarantee that ONE experience will be life changing.
Love my job, but I am still looking for a career.
I avoid judging others, and it hurts when people don't give me the same courtesy.
Although I am an only child, I play well with others.
I truly feel it is through reading a variety of subjects and pushing beyond your comfort zone that ignorance and hatred can be abolished.
It is a sad thing that religions are too busy being righteous to recognize the virtues of other schools of thought and learn from them.
I once was fluent in Arabic and Turkish, but I couldn't guarantee a conversation in those languages that would make sense.
My favorite pastime is laughing loudly.
I believe you learn a lot about someone when you see how they handle talking about controversial topics.
There has always been a desire within me to embark on an adventure that would make a difference in the world (in whatever small way I can).
Owning more will not fill that hole inside.
My biggest weakness is trying to make everyone like me. |
| | I don't claim to be an expert.... I have been lucky enough in my short lifetime to have seen more of the world than most see in a lifetime. Due to my parents' jobs, my childhood was spent living in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. We moved to the states when I was in the middle of 3rd grade, and it was the biggest culture shock of my life. It was then that I learned how not everyone understood there's a huge world out there, and this little town wasn't the be-all end-all.
College was when I had my first opportunity to strike out in the world on my own, and this only furthered my desire to work towards an international interest. I am still looking for that opportunity, but am enjoying what life has given me along the way. |
