When you think of Italy...Florence is probably on the list, right? I hope so. This was the last city in our tour with Trafalgar Tours. By this city I was pretty home sick from my first trip. It was a very laid back city. It doesn't have the bustle that Rome or Venice has (at least the places I was). I enjoyed the tranquility and the art.

I think my favorite part was when I finally got familiar with the people I was touring with and the people in Italy. My aunt was not feeling well so I joined some other girls in our tour and we had a few drinks in the hotel's bar. We met some men who we got to talk to about their lives and schooling. It was a good night out. I finally felt myself adapting into the Italian culture.

I think the biggest surprise for me was the David statue. I never knew it was so big. I also admit before seeing it I never knew it was based on the biblical story. (I know...I worry about myself too!) Do NOT miss this statue. You will understand after you see it and experience it.
