Coco Cay Was The Best Part

by onestepaway - last update: Jun 23, 2007

Pure Relaxation

So we dropped anchor after we left the Bahamas and we are now arriving at Coco Cay, this was paradise. The water was perfect, the wheather was great and we could not have asked for a better day or spot to be. There was a small straw market there and its a privat island for Royal Caribbean guests. Located within the Berry Island chain of the Bahamas, about 50 miles from Nassau. It was simple and pure pleasure! There are numerous hammocks scattered in shady enclaves, so we dipped off into them and just relaxed after swimming and visting the straw makets, the straw market here was simple and the people were not as rude. Beware there are hair braiders here too, they were not as pushy. The food at the seaside barbeque restaurant was good but the birds seemed to flock in and was a wee bit annoying, they also have rentals here to choose from like snorkle gear or floatation devices.
