The first part of my life was spent working and dreaming about seeing the world. As is unfortunately true for most...carreer, kids and life just plain got in the way. I've travelled all over most of the US, but had never been off of the continent until this year. Sad eh?

I decided, that I would NOT turn 40 at home, so we booked a family cruise to the Caribbean...and I fell in love. In love with travelling, the ocean above and below the water, and most of all the sights and people we met. The cruise was wonderful...a floating city, and really a great way to travel with children, so much to do....but I got the feeling of being herded along on our shore excursions, and while the food was wonderful....it was pretty much the same.

Now...I plan on travelling to places that catch my interest and intrigue. Next year we are going to Roatan, Honduras. And at least yearly after that I want to travel to a new destination. Hopefully I can keep up this travel journal along the way.
