Massachusetts---Variety is the spice of life!

by ABL1958 - last update: Jan 30, 2003

WELCOME to my little part of the world. I was a Massachusetts resident for 10 years and only recently moved to Connecticut. Massachusetts is a varied and beautiful state, offering much for history buffs and nature lovers alike. You will not be disappointed if you plan your visit to include parts of the whole state---Boston is a must-see, although rely on city transportation,---The Cape is fantastic especially in off-peak months (see my Provincetown page), and the western part of the state is full of beauty and antique shops and typical New England villages.
This picture is a view of the Berkshires, taken from a pull-off area on Rte 7 in northern Berkshire County, near Williamstown. It is one of my favorite views when I'm driving that direction. In the Fall it is even more spectacular.

7/30/02 I just added more pictures to a travelogue here called "Images of Massachusetts". Enjoy if you like! :)

If you take a few minutes to go to VT member "meetings" page and look under Masschusetts you'll see pictures of a VT meeting we had there June 1, 2002. It was such fun--thank you to all who attended!

Pros:"Much more to do than meets the eye!"
Cons:"Too crowded in many places...look for the quiet spots"
In A Nutshell:"Mountains, seashore, history all wrapped up in one!"

You''re right! Lot's of memories flooding back. I remember going to Cheesecake Charlies with my Dad after a movie. You've just enforced what I already knew, I must make a trip back up to Great Barrington!

Very inspiring visual exploration of this beautiful region. It's closer for CT residents than for people from eastern MA :)
