Klewenalp - Stockhuette

From Beckenried, which is just a 1 hour drive away from Zurich, the cable car takes you up to Klewenalp, a rather small ski resort in Switzerland. You have a choice of 40 km prepared skiing slopes, but the highest one is only at 2001 m. If we have that much snow as we had this winter (2002/2003) we just have to take the opportunity to ski also these resorts.

I was at Beckenried over the New Years of 1961/2 and 1962/3: most enjoyable time

Can we go here sometime? You know it is for the views not the skiing. There has got to be a restaurant somewhere up there.

That free parking makes Beckenried the ideal stopover on the way to Lake Garda! Great to see the panorama from the mountains!

A "Glühwein" and a "Bratwurst" on the slopes makes one skiing a little faster .... :-)) I've just experienced.
