I don't remember for how many times we just drove round at this beautiful city when driving to Italy over Brenner pass. But now, staying at Seefeld, we thought we have to take a look at this really interesting city at least for 1 day. We drove to Innsbruck, parked the car just outside the old town and walked to the next tourist information where we bought a Innsbruck card for only EURO 21.--, valid for 24 hours (EURO 26.-- for 48 hours). This card allows free rides on all public transports, the shuttle bus "the sightseer", free admission to most museums and even some cable cars are included.
The air-conditioned "sightseer bus" with audio-guide runs daily every half hour from Maria-Theresien-Strasse in 2 directions. You get off the bus where ever you like, enjoy your choice of sightseeing and continue your trip with the next bus. |
| | Maria-Theresien-Strasse We really enjoyed this very well organized sightseer shuttle bus. While sitting in the bus you get your information in several languages |
Ski jump tower This new ski jump tower opened in september 2002.
Sitting in the panorama restaurant, watching the training of a french team and enjoying the great views over Innsbruck and the nearby mountains, was very relaxing! | | |
