By the end of January / beginning of February we always spend an extended weekend at a warmer and sunnier place than Switzerland. This year we decided to go to Alicante and this was a good choice.
The old town of Alicante is very pretty, the big alleys invite you to stroll and the big palm trees on each side are great for some shadow.
The picture was taken from Castle Santa Bárbara, from where you get an excellent view over the city. |
|  | The bull-fight Arena There is also a big bull-fight arena. I like to see these buildings but not the bull-fight itself. A little further away we can also see the big football (soccer) stadium. |
