When I told my friends I'll be going for F&E Seoul with my husband, they usually ask me the same questions :"Do you know how to speak Korean?" "How can you find your way around??" "F&E Seoul will be difficult cos the Koreans don't speak much English"etc etc.
Well, with good preparation, I must say, Seoul F&E is not at all difficult!!! Especially if you know Chinese language, finding your way around Seoul or asking for product recommendations in most of the Korean retail shops is actually easy! Hence, I would like to hereby share with you my F&E Seoul tour and would still recommend F&E in Seoul.
Overall, my Seoul trip was only quite ok, not exactly fanstastic. This was due to serveral reasons. It was cold and so we were burdened with thick clothings. We covered only the Seoul city area and hence did not see extremely scenic locations. I didn't get to buy any clothes as all the shops sell only winter clothings (I'm from Singappore where Winter never visits). :D So, if I were to visit South Korea again (which I definitely WILL), I will visit Seoul mainly for the shopping but also plan to visit other more rural, scenic towns/provinces out of Seoul.
This is how my Itinerary looked like:
DAY 1: Airport - Hotel - Gyeongbokgung - Samcheongdong St - Isadong
Airport: Tourist Information Center - Location: beside Gate "A" and "F" . Hrs: 7:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m.

Transportation: No. 6015 limousine bus (10.000 won) to Sejong Hotel (Myeong-dong) from the airport. Boarding area at Gate 5B orĀ 12A (1st floor) at the airport. Walk to Astoria Hotel (The hotel I stayed)
Astoria Hotel Seoul 13-2, Namhak-dong, Jung-gu

Take number 2 line to Dongdaemun 421 Station and come out of exit #1. You will see the grand conglomeration of wholesalers known as Dongdaemun Market. The main street divides Dongdaemun Market into two sections. Section 1 is on the side where Doosan Tower is found, and Section 2 is on the side of Dongdaemun Stadium. Huge shopping malls in Section 1 basically sell wholesale and retail goods, but mostly deal with general customers and tourists at retail prices. Shopping malls in Section 2 sell goods both in wholesale and retail, but mainly sell in bulk.
