Nightlife Spot: Cafe Mesale
Great place to stop anytime during the day but particularly good of an evening, where all the locals and backpackers come for a Meze, cay (tea) and an apple nargileh (a shisha), it can get quite lively. The cay is served in little glasses alternatively you can try the flavoured tea with a squeeze of lemon. Set in a sunken courtyard in the shadow of the Blue Mosque it has a great atmosphere and a 'local' feel with traditional live Turkish folk music and the occasional whirling dervish. Watch the various people come in and out and the locals playing backgammon.
