East meets West

by clouds111 - last update: Jan 15, 2008

Latest trip was this magnificent city. So much to do and see here and you can truely soak up the culture. This was once thought of as second only to Rome and you can really see why, with great views across the Marmara Sea, the centre of the Ottoman Empire.
This is one of my favourite city breaks I've been on. There is so much to do and see in Istanbul I don't believe you could ever get bored of living here and I will definitely go back again.
You are not permitted to take pictures in the Treasury of Topkapi Palace but I managed to take a sneaky shot, shhhh....

Those Bazaars are beckoning, look so interesting. Nice views from the tower, in fact, all of Istanbul sounds very interesting to have a wander around. Liked your photos.
