Coming from London it's much easier to handle to buzz of Bangkok, but the first thing that struck me was the pollution, evident as you fly through it on your way in. It took me a good whole day to get used to the sensation of having no fresh air, heaven knows what the likes of Beijing would be like!
Despite this Bangkok is a fantastic city - a mix of really old and new. The transport systems (although not always direct) are clean and efficient, the people are friendly and there's so much to see and do it's hard to know where to start.
Each district has it's very own feel to, which makes Bangkok an exciting place to discover. The colours, smells and sounds make hard work for your senses, you leave there feeling slightly dazzled. |
