I decided to be the creator of this page when I made the scandalous
discovery that, even so we write the year 2007, there still is no adequate coverage of Winterthur on VT.
So this is where my guide hopefully will fill the gap... |
A short description Winterthur - it may lack the world metropole status and a decent lake. It may suffer from the proximity of Zurich in touristic terms but if you accidentally happen to be here anyways, you might as well read this small guide for Bars, Clubs and daylight visiting spots.
It lies in the northeast of Zurich and generally northeast of Switzerland. With almost 100'000 inhabitants it is the 6th biggest city in Switzerland.
Only Zurich, Geneve, Basel, Berne and Lausanne are bigger.
Winterthur has the reputation for being a garden-city because it is surrounded by forests and comes up with generally a lot of parks and other green space. |
