Waynesboro and Wayne County

Waynesboro is a town of about 2500 (up almost 10% since 2000) located in Southern Tennessee along US Highway 64. Waynesboro is the county seat of Wayne County. Both the town and the county are named after General Anthony Wayne from the American Revolution. Wayne earned the nickname "Mad Anthony", due to his personality and actions as a commander.

Local Life

Agriculture is important to Waynesboro and their daily life and celebrations reflect that. These locals seemed happy to be here but were not that talkative.

Veterans Memorial

There was this nice veteran memorial on the courthouse grounds honoring area veterans.
