Historic District

Milford is a town of about 6200 located in the Southwest corner of the state near Cinncinnati. The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times and is home to an archeological site from the Woodland Indian period (1000 BC to 1000 AD). The town was established sometime in the 1790s. Milford got its name from a mill estbalished on a shallow portion of the Ohio River where it was safe to ford the river. Milford has a nice historic district with several buildings of historical and/or architectural interest.
