Rodeo, The Town

Rodeo is a friendly little town along New Nexico Highway 80 (which used to be US Highway 80). It is well known as a destination for birdwatchers coming to the San Simon Valley. It is also a convenient way to get to the towns of Paradise and Portal, the ghost town of Hilltop and the beauty of the eastern part of the Chiricahua Mountains. The website on my tips will provide you with much more information about this nice little town.

Rodeo Grocery and Cafe

If you are stopping here or driving through, you can get friendly service and good food at a reasonable price at the Rodeo Grocery and Cafe.

Rodeo Tavern

The Rodeo Tavern open at 4PM Wednesday through Saturday. I was there a little before that so I did not get to go in. Reportedly the food is excellent. They have a special Shrimp Dinner on Wednesday Nights and Pizza on Thursday Nights.
