New Haven and the Kentucky Railway Museum

New Haven is a small town of about 870 (up 3% since 2000) located along US Highway 31E in Nelson County in Central Kentucky. The town was established in 1871 as "Pottinger's Landing" but was renamed after New Haven, Connecticut in 1819. New Haven was occupied by Union Forces during the Civil War. The Louisville and Nashville Railroad arrived here in 1856. The depot built then is one of the oldest in the country and is now home to the Kentucky Railway Museum.

St Catherine's Catholic Church

The parish at St. Catherine's Catholic Church was established in 1844. The current building is the third church on this site and was completed in 1930. I like the style of this church a lot.
