Etowah Indian Mounds State Historical Site

Etowah Indian Mounds State Historical Site is a 54 acrea site that preserves the most intact Mississippian Culture site in the Southeast. Start your tour of the park at the Visitors Center where you can get a map of the site, a brochure, and get advice from the knowledgeable staff on how to best enjoy your visit.

Museum Displays

Inside the visitors center is also a nice museum showing artifacts from this site, and information about its construction.

Mound C

Mound C dominated the village when it was first built. The mound is over 60 feet high and was probably where the chief's house was built.
