Riordan Mansion

In the early 1900s the Riordan Brothers came to Flagstaff to make their fortune and opened a sawmill. The abundance of the Ponderosa Pines in the area coupled with their business sense and their honest caring way of dealing with customers, workers, friends and neighbors quickly made them two of the most influential people ever to come to Flagstaff. In 1904 they built the mansion which today bears there name. The Riordan Mansion State Historic Park is located right in the middle of Flagstaff and offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of these two brothers and the growth and history of Flagstaff. It is well worth a visit.

Visitor's Center

The Visitor's Center has a nice museum complete with a hands-on display for the kids. They also have docent led tours starting every hour. If you are really lucky; you will get one from Holly who is very knowledgeable about the Riordan's and the area.

Other Items of Interest

In addition to the outside and inside of the Riordan Mansion and the museum in the Visitor's Center, there are items from the logging industry of the early 1900s on site.
