Navajo Bridge

Navajo Bridge was built in 1929 and replaced Lee's Ferry as the only way to get from one side to another. The bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. The canyon is 2500 feet deep.

Cliff Dwellers

Also near Marble Canyon is an area called Cliff Dwellers. This is a kind of surreal place where Native Americans built homes among the strangely shaped rocks. You can stop and see these dwellings and shop for handicrafts.

Vermilion Cliffs

Also nearby are the 1500 foot cliffs called the Vermilion Cliffs. These are part of a national monument but there are no facilities here.

What a picturesque place! The Navajo Bridge is fantastic! No wonder you enjoyed such a pretty scenery around the Canyon and took such brilliant photos. Thank you Jim for sharing.
