The Effel Tower The very first time that I laid eyes on the Effel Tower was exciting. It was cold and rainy that day but I was prepared for it. Growing up as a child I can remember seeing pictures of this massive structure and to finally see it in person was exhilaring. The lines were very long to go up so I opted not to. You must be there very early in the morning and prepare for the cold. It's quite an impressive sight to see. One must see the tower at night! Every ten minutes on the hour the lights twinkle and the spot light revolves. It's the most beautiful sight from a boat on the Seine River. |

Nemorino Fri Aug 24, 2007 08:54 UTC Welcome to VirtualTourist. Glad you enjoyed Paris even if it was so cold and rainy. I'm not a big fan of standing in lines, either, and since there is so much else to do and see in Paris I don't mind skipping some of the big tourist attractions. |
