Culinary Capital

Chaing Mai is the culinary capital of the country. It abounds in great restaurants, markets, and cooking schools. Even the street vendors are excellent. Chiang Mai is a fabulous place to aquaint yourself with Thai cuisine.

Gateway to the North

Chiang Mai is near to the 'Golden Triangle' of the far north of Thailand. The hill tribes, the former opium farms, the beautiful jungle in the mountains. Doi Inthanon is in the area, the highest peak in Thailand. Definitely worth a shot.

The sights of Chiang Mai

There is a lot to do in the area. The great wat Doi Suthep sits on a nearby mountain, the zoo is a wonderful site to visit, the whole town is a joy to discover. So get out there and live it!
