Linlithgow is a very old town and goes back century's, Most famous as the birth place of Mary Queen of Scots, who was born in Linlithgow palace, Where you can take a tour of at a small fee, surrounding the palace you have the peel a large area of lawns where you can have a picnic if you so wish. you also have Linlithgow Loch all contained within the grounds. This is a relaxing place whether old or young with swans and ducks, moorhens, coots and greebs. so if you have any bread left over I'm sure the birds will take it off your hands.

In the original startrek serial Scottie the Enterprise ship engineer was born and brought up in Linlithgow in the twenty third century before moving to Canada then to the starship Enterprise where he beamed up many life forms but not as we know it.

Linlithgow has a sports centre where you can go for a swim, play football, or for a jog a cycle or a sauna or just relax in the cafe and spectate. If you are a golfer there is Linlthgow golf club a 18 hole golf course with a bar and restaurant, there are many golf courses within a 10 mile radius. If you just like to socialise there are plenty of bars and eateries to drink and eat in at your leisure
