Görlitz is the easternmost city in Germany on the river Neiße, in the Bundesland of Saxony. Oopposite, across the river is the Polish town of Zgorzelec, with which it was united until 1945. A trip to this city was an added bonus during our short trip to Dreden for the wedding party of Richie and Doreen.
The town is rich in many types of architectural styles and it certainly kept our cameras clicking away. It was a most pleasant walk around the town and our thanks also go to Doreen's parents for taking us here and showing us this delightful town - it turned out to be a real gem. |
