Crans and Montana two adjoining swiss resorts situated on a sun-soaked plateau high above the Rhone Valley. A great network of hiking available here with its trails affording fine views of the majestic peaks from the Matterhorn right round to the Mont Blanc.

Especially noteworthy are the "Bisses" or hiking trails that follow ancient irrigation channels that carried the precious water of the glacier melt flow to where it was needed. Now redundant for such a purpose but today provide wonderful hikes with tremendous views of the Valais.

Cons:unpredictable weather
In a nutshell:its Switzerland it has to be good!

Seems to be vertiginious hike. I put it on my next Bisse walk list, should be good for my heart with some adrenalin peaks;-)
