Family Central Hotel and other Vitznau, Switzerland Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

A pleasant stay in this 3 star family run hotel. Not the largest of rooms (original wing) but comfortable enough. The annexe has more modern larger rooms available at a supplement.
Food was of an excellent quality - we had 4 courses on a package plan but opted to choose from the a la carte on our last night when Elisabeth (VT'er Rebibi) came over for a visit with husband Remo (see restaurant tip)

Unique Qualities: Ideal location - 3 mins from the boat station, 2 minutes from the Rigi Bahn and 1 minute from the bus stop! Would have been really perfect with a lakeside location - but hey whats a 3 minute walk.
Alternatively the hotel has bikes which guests are able to use free of charge - sorry Steve didn't get around to trying these out - mountain paths looked a bit steep for us!

We booked an acomodation only package with a tour company - worked out good value compared to booking direct with hotel but only due to multiple discount we got for booking early and on-line. In fact the company now only offer half these discounts if booking just hotel - guess they sussed my bargain out!!

Plenty of money to spend on a hotel stay then splash out at the Park Hotel - a grandiose 5 star deluxe hotel with an enviable position on the lake just outside the village centre. Way out of our budget but wished I'd plucked up courage to walk pass the doorman and check out their facilities. Glossy brochures on the hotel were available just outside the main entrance - next time I will go in at least for a coffee on its terrace.

Unique Qualities: The hotel is renowned for the excellent and personalised, discreet service and sophisticated gastronomy.
