Small and friendly UK travel company management run hotel. Not a typically swiss hotel but it was centrally located in the village, nice rooms and bathrooms. Great chef in the hotel too - meals were lovely each evening.
Unique Qualities: Roof top terrace - for views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks.

The most expensive place to stay in Zermatt I should imagine...5 star hotel. Posh doormen and those fancy horse and carriages to bring you from the station to the hotel.

I added this because a friend of mine is staying here . Nice quiet location, beautiful balconies. Short walk from the station.
