Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good hiking shoes and a map or in our case a great mountain guide are useful. Dovje was home of the parish priest - JAKOB ALLJAZ - for 38 years (1845-1927) and he made a name for himself by having mountain huts built and paths laid out in the Vrata Valley. A little metal turret errected on the top of Triglav is also named after him. Today, on the main road between the two villages of Mojstrana and Dovje, is his statue, seen pointing the way to Triglav.
