The Three Villages

cat in San Anton Gardens
A short stroll through the San Anton gardens and the Village of Attard with its lovely old houses, on our last few hours in Malta. Wish I could have spent longer but the light was going and I had used up all my digital memeory! Perhaps another visit someday to explore this delightful village at a more unhurried pacce.
church in Liya
Adjoining Attard is Liya and Balzan - they practically merge into each other and are known as "The Three Villages". They are a desirable residential area in the central part of Malta with many fine villas and churches. A walking tour leaflet of the area is available in the tourist office of Valletta - should have remembered to take it with me :-S

Interesting architecture there. Wignacourt Aqueduct and the Belevedere in Liya look amazing.
