Oh how I'd like to be sitting on that bench right now! Here we are at Mandraki harbour in Rhodes Town. This was our base for our first ever visit to Greece and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Two weeks here we saw so much plus we went to Symi for three days and a day trip to Kos Island. Plenty of things we didn't see here and I feel sure that one day we will return to this sunniest of Greek islands. |
| | The old town is like stepping back in time with its old medieval streets of the knights and turkish quarters. The Palace of the Grand Masters of the Knights of St John is the most important place to seee in Rhodes Town plus the 4km moat walk and the walk along its walls. |
| | Oct 2006 we made a brief return to Rhodes town area to enjoy a cake from our favourite cafe after we had spent a couple of hours up at Filerimos to see the views from the large cross and the buildings and ruins on the ancient site of lalysos - see off the beaten path tips for this. |

Fam.Rauca Sat Apr 12, 2008 14:50 UTC This is a splendid page of a wonderful town. The images on your page are beautiful and the tips are very interesting. We were also captivated from the beauty of Rhodes, and we wish for us a return to this place. Best regards from Vienna!
