The city of Dubrovnik is the Pearl of the Adriatic. I felt so sad when this beautiful city was damaged in the war - it has already suffered enough from many earthquakes down the years - but I believe it has been restored (yet again!)
Well in 2005 we were more than happy to have the opportunity to visit the Dubrovnik Riviera - it was 15 years since we had been here. (June 1990 previously). Although there was evidence of damage in the old city a grand job has been made in the restoration work and I'm happy to report that tourism is definitely on the up in this beautiful country. |
