"Crosby -The Sefton Coastal Path" Crosby by sandysmith
Crosby Travel Guide: 24 reviews and 28 photos
Crosby is just a few miles downstream of the River Mersey from Liverpool and as such was a popular place for the sea captains to take up their residence. They could watch their ship come and go from from their beautiful mansions lining the waterfront of Waterloo, Crosby.
From Crosby the Sefton coastal path extends for a distance of 20 miles up to Southport, via the sand dunes of Formby. This is a pleasant walk and can easily be broken up into manageable segments for short or longer hikes as required using the railway stations of the northen line of the Merseyrail transport system. We recently enjoyed the 8 mile stretch from Crosby to Formby.
The coastal hike also took us through sand dunes and paths to Merseyside's other River - the River Alt, seen here with the boats moored on the estuary.
- Pros:beautiful houses and coastal path
- Cons:none
- In a nutshell:great walk on a summer's day

You might not paint with a brush, but you do an excellent jo with words and camera.
Lovely views and I agree with my friend Helga! :-)
It's always nice to wander along the beach when the weather is nice. Great page and sunny pics.
Wish it could be this empty at the height of summer here in NJ. Looks lovely, Sandy.
Beautiful page, amazing pictures, your artistic view especially and a red squirrel - they usually don't want to pose, just run quickly but if you feed them... :-)))
