A discovery on New Year's Day 2003. 100 acres of woodland and heath near to the urban town of Birkenhead. Bidston Windmill sits on top of the hill and is open the first Sunday in the month to the public. Nearby is the former lighthouse and Observatory and Tam O'Shanter Urban Farm whilst the interesting village of Bidston with its old Hall and sandstone houses was mentioned in the Doomsday Book. |
