Daresbury is renowned as the birthplace of Lewis Carroll and the church has a stained glass memorial to the this children's author with scenes from Alice in Wonderland.

Nearby are the reamins of Norton Priory with its beautiful vaulted undercroft, museum, walled gardens and woodland walks - so plenty to see and do here.

Excellent 5 star tips which I really enjoyed reading - I live in the historic but somehow forgotten part of London - "Barking Town" but I was born in Clatterbridge Hospital in Heswall.
