Newquay Travel Guide: 165 reviews and 264 photos
Once a prosperous pilchard fishing village Newquay is now a thriving cornish sea-side resort and the capital of England's surfing population with 11 beaches stretching over seven miles of golden sand.
The town itsself is like any other sea-side resort with tacky tourist shops but go for a walk on the coast - especially over to Towan Head - and you will have stunning scenery and beaches galore.
- Pros:cornish coastal scenery and surfers beaches
- In a nutshell:cornish coastal scenery

Sandy, loved your photos and descriptions of Newquay. Came up randomly on my virtual excursions. MMM. Cornish Pasties, especially steak and Stilton, my favorite. Cheers. Mart

good observations there exept the Island is now owned by some lord or other who thinks he owns the town as well.
I spent many happy holidays with my parents in Newquay in my younger days-reading your page has allowed me to relive some of those happy moments. Great page-thanks.
Love the colors on those boats. I'm a succer for the shoreline. The saltier the better.
Beautifull spot in The UK! As usual the gardens are gorgeous. Loved the beaches also! Great page Sandra! :)))
That's a cool sundial, never seen one like it. Facinating page, great presentation and pictures, Sandy!
I've never been to Newquay, but your photos are so beautiful that it is now on my places to see list.
Haven't been here for 20 years! It's changed a bit since I first stayed here in the 60's in my Aunt's shop in Fore Street! Great photos.
Sabs needn't think I'm driving her to Cornwall! A ride down that slip in a boat would be a scary experience!
