St Helens has a history of glass making and all around the town this is exemplified by its modern glass structures. An award winning museum can be visited to see the glass making and glass blowing process - so you don't have to go all the way to Murano in the Venice Lido to see this!

Right in the centre as well though is this lovely old building - the Quakers meeting place.

Pros and Cons

Pros:cheaper than going to Venice!
Cons:..but just not the same ambience!

You do find reflections everywhere, Sandy, but I still find it hard to believe the sky is ever that blue in the UK. ;)
