    • A local summer custom is to have an annual charity raft race on the marina - usually the August bank holiday weekend.
    Rafts of various designs...submarine, desert islands...are constucted and raced on the marina. Its quite a coulourful sight and quite comical to watch the various teams try to sabotage their opponents with eggs and flour bags etc....!!

     Been years since I was on the beach in West Kirby but I was on the beach in Talacre on Thursday and I could clearly see your neck of the woods. I guess that was the one and only sunny day we'll have this year.
