    • Watching the sunset over Hilbre is popular - some amazing sunsets can be seen here throughout the year. Seeing the sun as a red flaming ball dipping into the water behind Hilbre is simply stunning.

    Sunsets over Hilbre Island are often spectacular here - the sky becomes tinged with pink and the clouds reflected in teh water. You have to be quick though as the sun sets so quickly - I usuallly just have time to dash from my home!

     Been years since I was on the beach in West Kirby but I was on the beach in Talacre on Thursday and I could clearly see your neck of the woods. I guess that was the one and only sunny day we'll have this year.
