"MY HOME TOWN" West Kirby by sandysmith
West Kirby Travel Guide: 49 reviews and 139 photos
well the sun surely was shining down here on the marine lake.
My home town of West Kirby has a beach, marina and Hilbre Island just off shore.
The Wirral Country Park trail follows the old railway line down to Parkgate.
Please check out the travelogues for more info on these places.
West Kirby and Hoylake will also played host to the internationally acclaimed Briish Golf Open in July 2006 - indeed preparations have been going on for months and even over the last 2 years for this nvasion of stars, media and the crowds who wish to witness this sporting event at the Royal Liverpool Golf Course.
- In a nutshell:Its a great place to live

Hi Sandra, greetings from Jerusalem! Avi
West Kirby looks as lovely as I remember it 20 years ago.
Enjoyed a virtual tour of your hometown. Wonderful to live by the sea. Cheers from Penang Island, SL :)
hello sandy, my uncle is from west Kirby, George Bradshaw, works for the gas board there, , you can see my pictures at www.paradisesamar.com thank you for sharing some fond memories with me, Kind regards Steve Rice (mrfixitsamar)
Been years since I was on the beach in West Kirby but I was on the beach in Talacre on Thursday and I could clearly see your neck of the woods. I guess that was the one and only sunny day we'll have this year.
It's always nice to see members home towns :)
Hi Sandy, your travel pages make for great reading. I'm from Hoylake originally. After looking at your Hilbre page I realised that I haven't been over there for 20 years so I'm going to make it one of my priorities when I'm home this summer. cheers :o)
