Arco is a delightful town just a few kilometrs from Riva. We spent a few hours here, having stopped off at the Cascata Varone first and before heading onto Trento. It was a lovely day out altogether and the first full day of an unforgettable week in this area of Lake Garda and Trentino-Alto Adige region.

We took the walk up to the castle - a lovely winding path through olive groves and strewn with poppies for our visit in May - lovely balacony views over the town, worth the hike just for this.

The town of Arco itself is a historic market town with pleasant squares, frescoed buildings and cafes to enjoy

I've been to Arco last friday. It is really a beautiful town. I didn't go up to the castle, but I won't miss it next time I'll go to Arco. Ciao!
