La Giudecca

by sandysmith - last update: Oct 1, 2005

Giudecca view from San Giorgio Maggiore belltower
An island to explore for the next visit.
We had a short stroll here one afternoon (July 2004) and intended to return but a restricted waterbus schedule due to a water bus strike put paid to that but makes a good excuse for a further visit to our favourite city.
Tre Occi
Mainly residential and very quiet there are some interesting building to observe.
Giudecca scene
Well we got to explore more of Giudecca in late Agust 2005 to ejoy a stroll around the fondamentas and notice new devolpments taking place.

deciphering from you rest pic: "Ae Botti"... dialect for "alle botti" (barrels) that you can in fact see near the door... Nice page as always, Sandy!

I don't think anyone can ever stop exploring Venice and its region. So much to see and do! The Tre Occi building looks great!
